BHP Group confirms withdrawal of resolutions from AGM

20th Sep 2024 12:19

(Alliance News) - BHP Group Ltd on Friday confirmed that a number of resolutions have been withdrawn, and will not be considered at its 2024 Annual Meeting.

On August 15, the Melbourne, Australia-based miner said that it had received resolutions for consideration at the AGM under section 249N of the Corporations Act.

These resolutions were from shareholders representing less than 0.2% of BHP's shares on issue.

These resolutions were received ahead of the release of BHP's second Climate Transition Action Plan.

Following the release of the release of BHP's plan on August 27, the resolutions have been withdrawn by the same group of shareholders who requisitioned them.

Shares in BHP Group were trading 1.5% lower at 2,059.00 pence each in London on Friday afternoon.
