LONDON (Alliance News) - Beximco Pharmaceuticals Ltd on Friday said it has started the first export of pharmaceuticals to Kuwait, the first time a Bangladesh-based company has launched pharmaceutical products in any member country of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
Beximco, a generic pharmaceuticals manufacturer, said initial exports into the country will include two metered-dose inhaler products and one blood pressure drug.
"The Gulf market is an important market for us and the launch of our products in Kuwait will open up new opportunities in the region," said Beximco Managing Director Nazmul Hassan.
Shares in Beximco were up 3.5% to 30.00 pence early Friday.
