LONDON (Alliance News) - Beximco Pharmaceuticals Ltd Monday said it saw continued progress in its most recently-ended financial period.
The generic pharmaceutical products and active pharmaceutical ingredients firm has switched its accounting year to end in June, rather than in December, and is therefore reporting for a period of 18 months to the end of June 2016.
In a statement at its annual general meeting Beximco said that it had seen a 13% increase in sales in 2015 in its domestic market of Bangladesh, and a 68% increase in its export business. This sales growth momentum then continued for the first half of 2016, Beximco said.
"In addition to registering impressive growth in sales and profit, we have made progress, as planned, in key operational areas by expanding the product portfolio, registering products in overseas markets and obtaining product and plant certifications," Beximco Chairman Ahmed Rahman said in a statement.
Shares in Beximco were up 4.7% at 54.95 pence Monday.
