LONDON (Alliance News) - Berkeley Resources Ltd Tuesday said it has made changes to one of the resolutions to be put forward to its shareholders at a general meeting to be held on Friday concerning its proposal to change its name to reflect its focus on becoming a uranium producer.
Berkeley is currently developing the Salamanca uranium project in Spain, which has a total mineral resource estimated at 88.2 million pounds of contained uranium trioxide with an average grade of 470 parts per million. The project contains the Retortillo, Alameda, Zona 7 and Gambuta deposits plus a number of other satellite deposits.
The company was seeking to change its name to Berkeley Energy Corp Ltd to reflect its focus to become a uranium producer. However, the company said Tuesday it now wants to change its name to Berkeley Energy Ltd, which it said is "more favourable".
Berkeley shares were up 3.0% to 17.00 pence per share on Tuesday morning.
