(Alliance News) - Berkeley Group Holdings PLC on Thursday said interim Chair Glyn Barker has been promoted to non-executive chair on a permanent basis, effective immediately.
This comes after Barker was appointed interim chair following the death of the company's previous chair and co-founder, Tony Pidgley, in June.
Barker will hold the position for a period of up to two years while the board finds a long-term non-executive chair.
Barker will be stepping down as chair of the remuneration committee, replaced by Peter Vernon, as well as from the audit committee.
Diana Brightmore-Armour will become senior independent director, succeeding Barker.
All board shifts are effective immediately.
Berkeley Group shares were up 0.9% at 4,506.00 pence each on Thursday morning in London.
