(Alliance News) - Bellway PLC announced on Friday that John Tutte will join its board as non-executive chair designate on March 1.
The Newcastle, England-based housebuilder said Tutte will succeed Paul Hampden Smith, who will retire from the board as chair on April 1. Hampden Smith had served Bellway for almost nine years, with the past three as chair.
Tutte was previously chief executive officer and chair at housebuilding peer Redrow PLC. He is also non-executive director of the Home Builders Federation and until 2020 he was chair of the Home Building Skills Partnership.
Incoming non-executive chair designate John Tutte said: "I am delighted to be joining Bellway which has such a focus on quality, a responsible approach to business and strong foundations to maintain its impressive track record of sustainable volume growth."
Shares in Bellway were up 1.0% at 3,065.00 pence on Friday morning in London.
