Begbies Traynor No Longer Occupying Properties Owned By Its Chair

17th Sep 2019 14:01

(Alliance News) - Begbies Traynor Group PLC on Tuesday said it no longer occupies properties that its Executive Chair Ric Traynor has an interest in.

The financial advisory and consultancy firm was responding to media speculation about commercial properties in Manchester and Preston used by the company that Traynor owns or formerly owned.

In July 2017, the firm said: "Begbies Traynor has completed a new lease of its Manchester office, which is part owned by Ric Traynor, the group's executive chairman.

By the end of the financial year concluded on April 30, 2018, Traynor no longer had an interest in the Manchester office, Begbies said.

The company also outlined that it no longer occupies two properties in Preston, one which is wholly-owned by Traynor and another which is owned by his pension plan.

Begbies vacated the properties during the 2019 financial and now has a lease of a new office with a third-party landlord.

Shares in Begbies Traynor were 2.0% higher at 76.00 pence each in London on Tuesday afternoon.
