Begbies Traynor In Line, But Company Insolvencies Still Falling

10th Mar 2016 09:23

LONDON (Alliance News) - Business recovery and property services company Begbies Traynor Group PLC on Thursday said trading in the third quarter was in line with its expectations.

The company said both of its divisions performed as anticipated in the quarter to the end of January, though company insolvencies in the UK for the 12 months to the end of December declined to 14,629 from 16,317 a year earlier, down 10%.

Company insolvencies have been declining since 2011 and have now hit the lowest level seen since 1989, Begbies said.

"The group is well placed to deliver the board's expectations for the financial year as a whole," said Ric Traynor, Begbies's executive chairman.
