BAT's Khan To Succeed 34-Year Veteran Davy As Operations Director

19th Jan 2021 10:47

(Alliance News) - British American Tobacco PLC on Tuesday announced that Zafar Khan will succeed Operations Director Alan Davy after he steps down on January 31.

Khan is currently head of New Categories Operations and has been with the cigarette and vaping company for 24 years.

Davy, who is a 32-year company veteran, said he is leaving to pursue new challenges and spend more time with his family.

Chief Executive Jack Bowles said: "BAT has around 13 million consumers of our non-combustible products and Zafar's experience of expanding our capabilities and embedding an end-to-end supply chain for our New Category products makes him the natural choice as Director, Operations to accelerate the delivery of our A Better Tomorrow strategy."

On Monday, BAT shares were down 1.9% at ZAR560.65 each in Johannesburg, and down 0.2% at 2,746.00 pence each in London.
