LONDON (Alliance News) - BATM Advanced Communications Ltd said Thursday that it had won a diagnostics contract with the Ministry of Health in Latin America initially worth USD1 million.
BATM will provide clinical chemistry instruments and reagents to laboratories throughout Latin America. It has received the first purchase order worth USD850,000 already from the Ministry.
BATM said that the contract showed the strength of its strategy of focusing on developing countries and bundling its high performance instruments with high sensitivity reagents.
"I believe that, in due course, this strategy will fit certain demand in what are called developed countries that suffer from the growing burdens of the health budget," said Chief Executive Zvi Marom in a statement Thursday.
Shares in BATM were trading flat at 17.25 pence Thursday morning.
