BATM Advanced Wins Second Israel Agriculture Contract In A Week

8th Sep 2015 08:08

LONDON (Alliance News) - BATM Advanced Communications Ltd on Tuesday said it has secured a contract with an unnamed Israeli food company to install its pathogenic waste treatment and sterilisation system for agri-businesses at one of its cattle processing facilities.

The contract, the second BATM has won in the agricultural sector in recent weeks, has an initial value of around USD700,000, which BATM expects to recognise in 2016 and 2017.

"We are delighted to have been awarded this contract by a leading food group in Israel. That it so quickly follows the launch of this solution and the award of our first major contract in the agricultural sector with a poultry farming business - both of which have occurred this year - provides further vindication of our strategy to expand the applications of our unique ISS technology beyond medical waste," said Zvi Marom, BATM's chief executive.

The contract follows BATM on Thursday last week saying it had won the first contract for its pathogenic waste treatment and sterilisation unit with an unnamed poultry farming business in Israel. That deal is worth an initial USD1.5 million and could be worth up to USD7.5 million over the next two years.

BATM shares were up 1.1% to 17.695 pence on Tuesday.
