LONDON (Alliance News) - BATM Advanced Communications Ltd on Wednesday said it has won a second order for its biological waste treatment product from a major animal health vaccines developer, which it did not name.
BATM, which makes technology for networking services and medical laboratories, said the order will increase the total value of the contract with the customer to USD1.7 million.
The product, which is based on BATM's Integrated Steriliser & Shredder technology, automates the process of disposing of biological waste safely and allows the waste to be treated on site, mitigating cross-contamination risks.
"This second order for our unique instrument from such an established business provides validation of the strength of our solution for treating biological waste," said Ofer Barner, the chief executive of the Pathogenic Waste Treatment and Sterilisation & Distribution units at BATM.
BATM shares were up 0.6% to 15.34 pence on Wednesday.
