(Alliance News) - Baronsmead Venture Trust PLC and Baronsmead Second Venture Trust PLC on Thursday reported a decrease in interim net asset value per share amid a fall in the value of their investments.
Baronsmead Venture Trust said its NAV was 65.4 pence a share as at March 31, down 15% from 77.1p reported at the end of 2019. As at the end of September 2019, NAV was 71.6p.
At the end of April, NAV was 69.9p, a 6.9% increase, following a material recovery in the value of the quoted portfolio during the month.
Baronsmead Second Venture Trust, meanwhile, reported 66.4p NAV per share as at the end of March, down 16% from 79.4p as at December 31, 2019. As at the end of September 2019, NAV was 73.6p.
The trust's NAV on April 30 was 71.6p, an increase by 7.8%.
Both Baronsmead Venture Trust and Baronsmead Second Venture Trust declared a 3p per share interim payout.
Baronsmead Venture Trust shares were trading 0.9% higher in London on Thursday at 67.10p each, while Baronsmead Second Venture Trust were untraded, last closing at 62.00p each.
