(Alliance News) - Baronsmead Venture Trust PLC on Friday reported a decline in net asset value as it cited heightened volatility and uncertainty.
The investor in UK early stage and growth businesses posted a net asset value at September 30 of 64.29 pence, down of 25% from 85.4p a year ago. It declared a final dividend of 2.75p per share, down 21% from 3.5p.
Meanwhile, Baronsmead Second Venture Trust posted annual results as well. Its NAV per share at September 30 fell 25% to 68.1p from 90.8p a year prior. It proposed a final dividend of 3.0p, 14% lower than 3.5p a year ago.
Looking ahead, both Baronsmeads noted uncertainty and expected increased volatility.
Baronsmead Venture Trust shares were flat at 58.50 pence each on Friday morning in London, while Baronsmead Second Venture Trust shares were flat at 59.00p each.
