LONDON (Alliance News) - Baron Oil PLC on Friday said it expects to hand over operatorship of the Nancy Burdine Maxine oil and gas field in Colombia to local oil and gas company Ecopetrol SA on October 16.
Baron Oil temporarily shut-in production at the field in April this year after its oil storage facilities at the site reached capacity. It also said it was struggling to start maintenance work on the Acae Bridge near the field, due to protesters from the local community blocking its only exit route.
But production restarted at the site later the same month.
Shares in Baron were down 5.6% to 0.85 pence on Monday.
