(Alliance News) - Hospitality firm Barkby Group PLC said Friday it has exchange contracts for the development of a mixed use development trade and retail scheme on a site in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire.
Barkby has proposed the development of a 43,410 square feet building, with an unnamed national builders merchant anchoring. Under the proposed development, the Huntingdon site has an estimated gross development value of GBP10.7 million.
"I am delighted to have exchanged contracts for this site in Huntingdon. The site is well positioned to benefit from the development and economic growth of the Oxford Cambridge Corridor. We are seeing strong demand from both the retail and employment sectors and pre-lets will be secured before work starts on site," said Executive Chair Charles Dickson.
Shares in Barkby Group were up 6.4% at 41.50 pence on Friday in London.
