LONDON (Alliance News) - Baring Emerging Europe PLC Thursday said it increased its revenue return and net asset value per share for the year ended September 30.
The UK-based investment company reported a net asset value per share of 846.16 pence, up from 776.34 pence a year earlier.
Its revenue return per share for the 12-month period was 19.44 pence, compared with 16.18 pence the prior year.
During the first half of the group's financial year, its net asset value rose by 15.1%. However, in the second half, its NAV fell by 4.0%, to give a total return for the year of 11.1%.
Baring Emerging Europe reported gains on investments of GBP11.9 million, compared with GBP22.6 million a year earlier.
It said its net return before finance costs and taxation for the year came in at GBP17.0 million, down from GBP28.0 million a year earlier.
Shares in Baring Emerging Europe were up 0.2% Thursday afternoon, at 778.22 pence per share.
