LONDON (Alliance News) - Barclays PLC on Friday said it will appoint KPMG LLP as its auditor for the year to the end of December 2017.
KPMG will replace PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, which will handle auditing Barclays' accounts until the end of the 2016 financial year.
"We are pleased to have conducted what I believe has been a very thorough, open and transparent audit tender process," said Tim Breedon, chairman of the Barclays Audit Tender Oversight Sub-Committee.
Barclays shares were down 1.3% to 263.05 pence on Friday.
