Barclays Non-Executive David Booth To Retire From Board

LONDON (Alliance News) - Barclays PLC Monday said non-executive director David Booth has decided to retire from the board of Barclays at the end of the 2013.

Barclays said Booth will be succeeded by Tim Breedon as chairman of the bank's Financial Risk Committee with effect from January 1, 2014.

Meanwhile, Barclays said Mike Ashley will become chairman of its Audit Committee, effective from the same date, in place of Michael Rake, who will remain on the board as deputy chairman.

Barclays shares were Monday quoted at 257.70 pence, up 0.6%.
