LONDON (Alliance News) - FTSE 100-listed bank Barclays PLC said Wednesday it has appointed former Goldman Sachs Group managing director Jacquelyn Titus as its own managing director and head of its Canadian financial institutions group.
Titus will join the bank on Monday next week. She previously covered Candian financial institutions at Goldman Sachs, as well as holding several M&A advisory and leveraged finance roles.
"Serving clients in the Canadian financial sector has been an important area of focus for Barclays," said Tom Vandever, head of financial institutions group, Americas.
"Jacquelyn's addition to the team will enable us to further build those critical relationships, and will ensure that we continue the strong momentum in our financial institutions group," Vandever added.
Shares in Barclays were up 0.7% at 160.26 pence on Wednesday afternoon.
