Bank Of Ireland Promotes Commercial Partnering Director As CFO

15th Oct 2019 09:56

(Alliance News) - Bank of Ireland Group PLC said Tuesday it has promoted Myles O'Grady as chief financial officer and executive director, subject to regulatory approval.

He will be replacing Andrew Keating, who will step down on Friday after seven years in the role since 2012.

O'Brady has been part of the Irish bank since June, as director for Commercial Partnering Ireland. Prior to that, he was chief financial officer at house builder DRes Properties, for a year from 2018.

Before that, he was director of Finance and Investor Relations at Irish commercial bank AIB Group PLC for 12 years from 2006 to 2018.

"I would like to congratulate Myles O'Grady on his appointment as group chief financial officer and executive director at the Bank of Ireland Group. Myles brings a wealth of experience to this important role, as the bank continues to deliver against its strategic priorities to transform the bank, serve customers brilliantly, and grow sustainable profits," said Chief Executive Francesca McDonagh.

Shares in Bank of Ireland were up 1.1% at EUR4.27 on Tuesday in London.
