Bango In Move To Connect Etisalat With Samsung Galaxy Apps

23rd Jul 2014 12:07

LONDON (Alliance News) - Mobile payments company Bango PLC Wednesday said that it has launched one-click director operator billing for Samsung Galaxy Apps with UAE-headquartered telecoms company Etisalat, in a move designed to enable Etisalat subscribers using Samsung's own app store to make payments for applications and in-app purchases by paying on their phone bill without the need to register personal details.

The news comes after Bango said in June that it had entered a partnership with Etisalat to enable billing on a mobile phone via a one-click payment across Etisalat's customer base in Asia, the Middle East and Africa.

The integration with Samsung Galaxy Apps adds to the launch of direct operator billing for Google Play and BlackBerry World users.

"The partnership between Bango and Etisalat is accelerating the deployment of charge to bill payment, providing the optimal user experience for the Middle East's technology-savvy user-base. Deployments that elsewhere take months are now being launched in a matter of weeks," Chief Executive Ray Anderson said in a statement.

Bango shares were Wednesday quoted up 5.6% at 103.00 pence.
