LONDON (Alliance News) - Construction and support services company Balfour Beatty PLC on Friday said it has won a GBP104.0 million contract to complete work on the Norwich Northern Distributor Road in Norfolk.
The new road is designed to serve Broadland in Norfolk and will improve access to North Norfolk and Norwich International Airport, along with better links to Great Yarmouth and the south of the local region.
Balfour will contract a new 19.6 kilometre dual carriageway for the project, including nine new roundabouts, seven new bridges, an underpass and a two-level junction.
Work on the project will start in this winter and is due to complete in late 2017, Balfour said.
"This project draws on Balfour Beatty's expertise in successfully partnering with local authorities to deliver large, complex infrastructure projects," said Chief Executive Leo Quinn.
