Bakkavor Appoints Ex-Deloitte Partner Jane Lodge Non-Exec Director

LONDON (Alliance News) - Fresh food company Bakkavor Group PLC on Tuesday announced the appointment of Jane Lodge as an independent non-executive director of the company.

Lodge was at Deloitte & Touche LLP for 25 years, reaching the position of senior audit partner, and Bakkavor said she was the first woman to serve on the board of Deloitte UK.

Other non-executive roles include Costain PLC, DCC PLC, Devro PLC, and Sirius Minerals PLC.

Chairman Simon Burke said: "I am delighted to welcome Jane to the board of Bakkavor and very much look forward to working closely with her.

"Jane's extensive experience in the food industry as an audit partner and also a non-executive director will be of significant benefit to the board and equips her well to guide the audit and risk committee in the years ahead."

Bakkavor shares were up 1.8% in early trading on Tuesday at 177.10 pence each.
