LONDON (Alliance News) - Baker Steel Resources Trust Ltd said Friday it underperformed against its benchmark in the first half of the year despite increasing its net asset value per share by 0.5%.
For the six months to June 30, the company said net asset value per share grew to 57.1 pence from 56.8p in the comparative year ago period.
The net asset value increase of 0.5% fell short of the company's benchmark, the EPIX Global Mining Index, which grew 1.1% during the same period.
The company added that it is now looking to invest in a number of "interesting projects" after its lock-up on its Polymetal shares expires in October, as Polymetal's activities do not fit within the company's strategy.
Baker Steel Resources shares were untraded at 45.90p each on Friday.
