LONDON (Alliance News) - Baker Steel Resources Trust Ltd on Friday said it appointed David Staples as independent non-executive director of the company with effect from Wednesday.
Howard Myles, chair of the trust, said: "I am delighted to welcome David to the board of the company. He has extensive and relevant experience and I am sure that he will be able to make a valuable contribution to our work."
Staples has "a number of years experience" serving on boards of listed and private companies as a non-executive director, the trust explained.
He is currently serving on the board of Ruffer Investment Co Ltd and NB Global Floating Rate Income Fund Ltd, both of which are listed on the London Stock Exchange.
Baker Steel Resources Trust shares were down 3.1% at 46.50 pence each.
