(Alliance News) - Japan-focused investment trust Baillie Gifford Shin Nippon PLC said Tuesday it has appointed Kevin Troup as a non-executive director with effect from March 1, 2020.
Troup's most recent role was as portfolio manager at Standard Life Investments for eight years, from 2010 to 2018, where he held responsibility for Japanese investments within the Global team.
"My fellow directors and I are delighted to welcome Kevin to the board. Kevin has many years of experience of investing in Japanese small caps and his appointment will maintain the board's depth and breadth," said Chair Neil Donaldson.
Shares in Baillie Gifford Shin Nippon - which is headquartered in Edinburgh - closed flat at 185.00 pence on Tuesday in London.
