Bahamas Petroleum Extends Employment Contract Of Chief Executive

LONDON (Alliance News) - Oil and gas company Bahamas Petroleum Co PLC said on Friday that Chief Executive Officer Simon Potter agreed to a 12 month extension to his contract, which was due to expire at the end of March.

The contract remains on the same terms.

Simon Potter has been chief executive officer at Bahamas Petroleum for seven years since 2011, and prior to that was chief executive officer for coal bed methane company Dark Energy Ltd for a year from 2010 to 2011.

"I am delighted to have extended Simon's contract and look forward to continuing to work with him in the months ahead," said Chairman Bill Schrader.

Shares in Bahamas Petroleum were down 2.2% at 0.880 pence on Friday.
