BAE Systems Wins Maintenance Contract For Emirates Boeing 777 Fleet

LONDON (Alliance News) - BAE Systems PLC Tuesday signed a five-year contract with Emirates under which it will provide maintenance and technical support to the carrier's entire Boeing 777 fleet.

Under terms of the contract, the FTSE 100-listed aerospace and defence group will provide maintenance support for products supplied at line fit to Boeing, including flight controls, flight deck systems and control and monitoring systems.

No financial terms of the contract were disclosed.

Emirates in the world's largest Boeing 777 operator, running 138 of the planes.

"We have a long and successful history with this premier airline and this expansion of our nearly 20-year relationship allows us to provide an even higher level of service to the Middle East," said Jeff Bartlett, Director of Airlines Solutions for Commercial Aircraft Solutions at BAE.

BAE shares were down 0.5% at 423.314 pence on Tuesday.
