(Alliance News) - Aerospace and defence company Babcock International Group PLC on Wednesday named David Mellors as chief financial officer, effective November 30.
Mellors will join as the CFO designate on November 1 and will take up the position at the end of November once current CFO Franco Martinelli steps down.
Martinelli announced his intention to retire in July.
Mellors has been the CFO of defence company Cobham PLC as well as at science and engineering company QinetiQ Group PLC. He has also taken up several roles at Logica PLC, CMG PLC and Rio Tinto PLC.

Babcock shares were up 2.9% at 239.00 pence each in London on Wednesday.
