LONDON (Alliance News) - Variety retailer B&M European Value Retail SA on Thursday said it has appointed Gilles Petit as a non-executive director with effect from May 2.
Petit is currently a non-executive director of French home decor retailer Maisons du Monde, of which he was chief executive officer until 2018.
Prior to that, he gained "many years of senior management experience" in multinational retail businesses in Europe, B&M said.
He served as chief executive officer of the hypermarket division of Promodes and then as CEO of Carrefour SA in Belgium, Spain, and subsequently France. He also served as the CEO of Elior until 2015.
B&M shares were trading down 0.1% at 397.60 pence each on Thursday.
