LONDON (Alliance News) - B&M European Value Retail SA on Thursday said it will appoint the chair of its audit & risk committee as senior independent director.
Ron McMillan, who has been a non-executive director and audit & risk chair since 2014 will take on the role on May 1. He succeeds Thomas Hubner, who retires on that date.
Hubner has been a senior independent director at B&M European and member of its audit & risk committee since joining the board at the company's initial public offering.
"The recent appointments of Tiffany Hall in September and Carolyn Bradley in November last year and the retirements of Harry Brouwer and Thomas are part of the continuing process of evolving the board composition and ensuring an orderly succession for the non-executive directors who oversaw the successful [initial public offering] in 2014," said B&M European Chair Peter Bamford.
Shares in B&M European were down 2.1% at 322.90 pence on Thursday.
