Avon Rubber Notes 24% Reject Remuneration Report At AGM

29th Jan 2021 19:54

(Alliance News) - Avon Rubber PLC on Friday said a sizeable number of voters at its annual general meeting rejected its directors' remuneration report.

The Wiltshire, England-based respiratory protection equipment manufacturer said just under 24% of shareholders rejected the proposal, though it passed as just over 76% backed it.

"The board notes that while resolution 2 to approve the directors' remuneration report was passed, a significant minority of shareholders voting, hose not to support this resolution," Avon Rubber said.

"The remuneration committee gave careful consideration to executive remuneration during 2021 and consulted extensively with the company's largest shareholders and the major proxy voting agencies. The views of all our shareholders are important to us and we will consult further with those shareholders who voted against this resolution to better understand their specific concerns."

Avon Rubber shares closed flat at 3,100.00 pence each in London on Friday.
