LONDON (Alliance News) - Avocet Mining PLC on Tuesday said the recently-announced shipment of 6,100 ounces of gold has left the Inata mine in Burkina Faso, and said it has successfully passed through customs at Ouagadougou airport.
Avocet sent out shipment 315 last Friday and said it is currently in transit to Rand Refinery in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The miner said it is still holding discussions with officials about shipment 314. The 1,400 ounces of gold within that shipment were previously seized by officials.
Avocet shares were up 1.2% to 59.06 pence per share on Tuesday morning.
