Avation Leases Sixth New Airbus Aircraft To AirBaltic For 12 Years

LONDON (Alliance News) - Aircraft leasing firm Avation PLC said Thursday it has acquired and leased for 12 years a sixth and final new Airbus A220-300 aircraft to Latvian airline airBaltic.

The new lease of the up to 160 seat A220-300 started from Wednesday. No financial details of the deal were disclosed.

"We are pleased to take delivery of our sixth latest technology A220-300 aircraft for our customer airBaltic," Avation Executive Chair Jeff Chatfield said. "This latest addition to our fleet is the last in the current series of sale and leaseback transactions agreed with airBaltic."

"This aircraft grows our overall fleet to 45 commercial passenger aircraft with a further 13 on order out to the year 2022", Chatfield added.

Shares in Avation were 0.3% lower at 291.00 pence on Thursday.
