LONDON (Alliance News) - Avation PLC Tuesday said it has taken delivery of a new ATR 72 aircraft from the factory, and leased it to Virgin Australia Regional Airlines.
The commercial passenger aircraft leasing company said the aircraft is the 11th delivery of a ATR 72-600 aircraft, and it has now taken deliver of 17 ATR 72 type aircraft, built by French-Italian manufacturer ATR.
"The aircraft was commercially financed and is leased for ten years. This new aircraft joins the company's expanding portfolio of modern, efficient aircraft and from delivery onward will contribute positively to the continuing growth of the company's revenues," said Chairman Jeff Chatfield in a statement.
Avation shares were up 3.9% Tuesday morning, trading at 146.00 pence.
