(Alliance News) - Avation PLC on Thursday said it has delivered the first of two Airbus A321 aircraft to Vetnamese low-cost airline Vietjet Air Joint Stock Co under an operating lease.
The aircraft is currently being transitioned from a prior operator, Aviation said, following the completion of maintenance checks and configuration for operations by VietJet Air.
The lease term is eight years, the commercial passenger aircraft leasing company noted.
"We had numerous airlines express interest in these aircraft during a global marketing campaign. We were pleased to place this aircraft on lease to our existing customer and favoured VietJet Air due to satisfactory terms, their excellent conduct and speed of execution," said Avation Executive Chair Jeff Chatfield.
The stock was trading 0.2% higher in London on Thursday at 298.00 pence a share.
