(Alliance News) - Avast PLC on Friday said it has launched a new cyber security product, Avast Business Small Office Protection.
The London-headquartered digital security and privacy products maker said Avast Business Small Office Protection offers real-time cyber protection for small business and secures up to ten devices per business.
The new product's features include a ransomware shield, which prevents software from harming files in protected folders as well as an email shield to check emails or malware.
It also includes a data shredder to delete confidential files and customer data, plus a remote access shield to stop unwanted remote connections.
"Small business owners are aware of the need to protect their companies from cyber-threats, but find that there is simply not enough time in the day to research the innumerable products on the market. Our new product is designed to offer complete defence from cyber-threats with minimal set-up, zero maintenance, and no IT expertise required," said Vita Santrucek, general manager at Avast Business.
Shares in Avast were up 2.6% at 573.00 pence in London on Friday morning.
