LONDON (Alliance News) - Avanti Communications PLC said Tuesday it has partnered with Spanish telecommunications firm, Syntelix, initially for a major Spanish government project.
Avanti said it has signed a capacity contract for a series of public and private connectivity programmes in Spain with Syntelix.
The partnership will start with the delivery of a major project for a government department at 96 remote locations across the country, said Avanti. Telecoms towers at each location will be served by Avanti's HYLAS 1 satellite, deployed to support high-speed telemetry and video surveillance.
The service will be tailored across radio FM, BTS 3G/4G and Wimax/Wifi links, and will provide full remote control of all assets to end-users. Core applications will include door access control, remote locking, video and sound surveillance, and energy supply monitoring.
Shares in Avanti Communciations were trading 0.36% lower at 275.75 pence per share Tuesday afternoon.
