LONDON (Alliance News) - Avanti Communications Group PLC said Thursday that it has appointed Enrico Leonardi as global sales director from next February, after which Chief Operating Officer Matthew O'Connor will retire in March.
Additionally, the satellite data communications company said it had seen "significant new order intake" during the first half of its current financial year, particularly in the Broadband and Government sectors.
Avanti said it expects to show strong growth in continuing business revenue in its second quarter, which it said underpins its expectation for meeting its full year target of around 50% growth compared to recurring revenue of USD60 million in the previous year.
Shares in Avanti were up 9.2% at 165.46 pence Thursday morning.
