(Alliance News) - Biotechnology company Avacta Group PLC on Tuesday said it has hired Paul Fry as a non-executive director effective from February 3.
He will also be appointed to the role of audit committee chair
Fry is currently chief financial officer of pharmaceutical company Vectura Group PLC and previously served in the same role at privately-held biotechnology company Immunocore Ltd. He was also previously director of global finance operations at telecommunications firm Vodafone PLC.
Additionally, Fry previously worked as head of global finance services for FTSE 100-listed pharmaceutical firm GlaxoSmithKline as well as chief financial officer for the company's Italian pharmaceutical business.

We look forward to working with him as Avacta develops into a clinical stage biotechnology company," said Avacta Chair Eliot Forster.
Avacta shares were down 2.7% at 17.76 pence each on Tuesday afternoon in London.
