LONDON (Alliance News) - Aureus Mining Inc on Tuesday said construction of the New Liberty gold mine in Liberia is on track and is set to deliver its first gold production by the end of May.
Aureus said the hot and cold plant commissioning phases have both started, with commissioning now completed on the primary and secondary crushing circuits.
The work on the screening circuit, conveyor systems, ball mill, electro-winning circuit and power generation infrastructure is all also complete, it said.
"I am delighted to report the continued progress at New Liberty including the commissioning of the crushing circuits and the commencement of plant commissioning. Such events represent tangible milestones towards production," said Aureus Chief Executive and President David Reading.
Shares in Aureus were up 3.7% to 23.34 pence on Tuesday.
