LONDON (Alliance News) - Aureus Mining Inc on Monday said gold production has restarted at the New Liberty Gold Mine in Liberia after the secondary crusher at the site was successfully repaired.
Aureus said the following the repairs and the restart of mining operations, it is now focused on working towards commercial production, which it expects to achieve in January 2016.
"I am pleased to announce that gold processing operations have recommenced at the New Liberty Gold Mine and we are now looking forward to declaring commercial production in January 2016," said David Reading, Aureus' chief executive.
Shares in Aureus were up 1.5% to 17.00 pence on Monday.
