LONDON (Alliance News) - Aureus Mining Inc said Monday that it was making good progress with the construction of its New Liberty Gold Project in Liberia, and had completed its first pour of concrete at the site.
Construction of the New Liberty site is progressing according the schedule, and construction of the New Kinjor Township, intended to house the relocated community of the Kinjor village, was under progression with various facilities nearing completion, it said.
"Significant support from shareholders and our banks over the last 12 months has enables us to start construction and for Aureus to remain on track for our first gold pour in the first quarter of 2015," Chief Executive Officer David Reading said in a statement.
Shares in Aureus were trading up 1.6% at 30.60 pence Monday morning.
