Aureus Mining Appoints Louden Owen To Board

7th May 2014 12:16

LONDON (Alliance News) - Aureus Mining Inc Wednesday said it has appointed venture capitalist Louden Owen to its Board of Directors to compliment its team as it completes construction of the New Liberty Gold Project.

The gold-mining company, with operations in Liberia and Cameroon, said Owen would replace David Beatty, who has resigned as a director after working for the company since 2011.

Louden co-founded and manages venture capital group McLean Watson Capital and serves on the boards of a range of private corporations including Quantec Geoscience Ltd, Kilo Goldmines Ltd, Genesis Land Development Corp, and Posera-HDX.

The New Liberty Gold Project in Liberia is expected to have an eight-year mine life and annual production of 119,000 ounces for the first 6 years of production.

Aureus Mining shares were down 0.2% to 28.07 pence Wednesday.
