LONDON (Alliance News) - Aurasian Minerals PLC Friday said it has appointed Christopher Goss as the company's new chairman.
Goss has been on the board of Aurasian since 2010 and is an economist who worked with the International Finance Corp for 24 years where he worked in London, leading the IFC's business development for mining, oil and gas companies.
Aurasian said he "managed the relationships" between the IFC and the likes of Rio Tinto PLC, Anglo American PLC and Lonmin PLC.
"I am very pleased to welcome Chris to the Chairman's position of Aurasian and look forward to working with him moving forward. He has a wealth of experience in both Emerging Markets and in mining," said Chief Executive Peter Mullens.
Aurasian shares were trading down 0.7% at 0.720 pence per share on Friday afternoon.
