(Alliance News) - Podcast company Audioboom Group PLC on Wednesday said it has entered into a partnership with global analytics and audience researching company Nielsen Scarborough.
Audioboom will subscribe to the Listener Buying Power Service which allows producers to "profile podcast audiences in order to connect specific types of listeners with particular advertisers".
The targeted information could allow Audioboom to grow advertising revenue, the company said.
The service samples over 30,000 respondents and features insights on podcast listening across 18 different genres, Audioboom added.
Nielsen Scarborough is part of Nielsen Holdings PLC, an American data firm which provides the famed "Nielsen ratings" which measures viewing figures of television shows in the US.
Audioboom Operating Chief Stuart Last said: "Our business is built around making podcasts accessible and profitable for podcasters and advertisers, and having insights available from Nielsen's Podcast Listener Buying Power Service will provide significant value for the advertisers and the talent that we work with. We're looking forward to utilising the full potential of this data to allow our clients, advertisers, and agencies to maximise monetisation opportunities."
Shares in the company were broadly flat at 179.95 pence each in London on Wednesday afternoon.
