Audioboom Hires Former Apple Executive McDonagh As Finance Chief

23rd Apr 2015 07:29

LONDON (Alliance News) - Audio content company Audioboom Group PLC Thursday said it has appointed former Apple executive David McDonagh as its new chief financial officer, effective from May 18.

McDonagh joins Audioboom from WideOrbit, a broadcast technology company, and will not join the board initially. McDonagh is also the former head of finance for Apple iTunes and prior to this worked in a number of roles with Apple, including working on the launch of the iPhone in Europe in 2007.

"Given the growth prospects and growing complexity of our business, Audioboom is now in need of a high-calibre chief financial officer and we are delighted that David has agreed to join us," said Audioboom Chief Executive Rob Proctor.

"He brings a depth of strategic and operational finance experience from private equity start-ups through to the best-known names in technology and innovation, including Apple, Hewlett Packard and Telefonica. David has a track record of delivering commercial results through his financial insight and business partnering skills," Proctor added.

Shares in Audioboom were down 0.1% to 7.62 pence on Thursday.
