LONDON (Alliance News) - Audio-on-demand platform Audioboom Group PLC said on Monday it has appointed Michael Tobin as chairman with immediate effect.
He will be replacing Malcolm Wall, after nearly four years in the role since 2014.
Tobin is currently chairman at broadband service provider Bigblu Broadband PLC for three years since 2015.
His previous executive role was chief executive officer of former FTSE 250-listed data centre operator TeleCity Group PLC for eight years from 2006 to 2014.
In addition, the group has changed its accounting year-end to December 31 from November 30, and for the 13 months to the end of December and onwards it will report in US dollars.
"These are very exciting and dynamic times for Audioboom and the wider podcast industry. As such I would like to wholeheartedly thank Malcolm Wall, our outgoing chairman, who has done a remarkable job of steering the company through its early years on AIM - his help and advice has been invaluable," said Chief Executive Officer Robert Proctor.
"I would also like to take the opportunity to welcome our new Chairman, Michael Tobin OBE. Michael has had a stellar career within the technology and creative sector, leading companies to billion dollar valuations," Proctor added.
Shares in Audioboom Group were down 3.8% at 2.31 pence on Monday.
