(Alliance News) - Equipment rental firm Ashtead Group PLC on Wednesday announced a rebranding of its UK business A-Plant.
The UK business will be renamed Sunbelt Rentals from the start of May. This, Ashtead said, puts all of the A-Plant brand under one banner.
The FTSE 100 company already operates under the Sunbelt Rentals brand in both the US and Canada. Ashtead confirmed the parent company's named remains Ashtead.
Ashtead reported third-quarter results on Tuesday, showing an 11% rise in revenue to GBP1.25 billion. UK revenue fell 1%, but the US and Canada delivered 13% and 29% revenue growth.
Ashtead's third-quarter pretax profit was 1% lower at GBP225 million.
Ashtead shares were 2.1% lower on Wednesday afternoon in London at a price of 2,358.00 pence each.
